GATTE® and framed rear doors
Rear doors in GATTE® and classic framed versions offer maximum durability, easy installation, and optional technical configurations tailored to the type of superstructure. We supply frameless GATTE® constructions with bolted joints for quick assembly, as well as traditional framed doors with aluminum infill or XPS panels. Both variants meet high standards for strength, sealing, and long-term reliability in daily operation.

GATTE® rear doors feature a frameless construction made of interlocking aluminum profiles connected using a special snap-in locking system. The profiles are bolted to the bottom and top edges, providing high rigidity without the need for welding. This frameless solution allows faster installation and a smooth surface ideal for advertising graphics.
Framed rear doors are made from aluminum profiles with a welded frame for maximum strength. The infill consists of vertically mounted aluminum profiles or an XPS panel in RAL 9010. The framed design allows individual customization of both width and height.
Locking Systems
Doors are available in two-lock or four-lock configurations. Lock placement is defined by the construction drawing. An optional multi-position locking system enables the doors to close at multiple height levels depending on the roof position. This system is available in single-, two-, or three-position versions.
Dimensional Specifications
- Ba = external vehicle width (standard: 2550 mm)
- Ht = door height (maximum: 3100 mm)
- Hi = clear frame height
Framed doors allow custom Ba and Ht based on customer requirements. GATTE® doors are manufactured with a standard width of Ba 2550 mm and height Ht according to superstructure specification.
Hinges and Mounting
Doors are available with the following hinge types:
- Bolted hinges
- Welded hinges
- Riveted hinges (aluminum – natural or anodized)
The number of hinges depends on the door height:
- Up to 2700 mm – 4 hinges
- Over 2700 mm – 5 hinges
Sealing and Surface Finish
Doors are equipped with rubber sealing around the full perimeter and central sealing between the wings. This ensures high resistance to weather conditions, including rain, dust, and dirt.
Available surface finish options:
- Natural aluminum (unfinished)
- Anodized surface for corrosion resistance
- Painted according to RAL chart
Load Capacity and Certification
Both GATTE® and framed doors are tested according to EN 12642 XL for a useful load of up to 16 tons. The overall structural strength is rated for up to 36 tons of total load.
Integration Options
Doors are fully compatible with TT bridging plates and other bodywork accessories. We also offer integration with lifting assist systems and custom locking mechanisms to ensure optimal functionality.
